Achieve Life Sciences is a pharmaceutical company engaged in the development and commercialization of cytisinicline for smoking cessation and nicotine addiction. Co.'s product candidate, cytisinicline, is a naturally occurring plant-based alkaloid from the seeds of the Laburnum anagyroides plant. Cytisinicline is structurally similar to nicotine and has a dual-acting mechanism of action that is both agonistic and antagonistic. Cytisinicline interacts with nicotine receptors in the brain by reducing the severity of nicotine withdrawal symptoms through agonistic binding to nicotine receptors and by reducing the reward and satisfaction associated with nicotine through antagonistic properties. The Average Annual Return on the ACHV average annual return 10 years page and across the coverage universe of our site, is a measure of the annualized return over the past ten years (or specified start date) for a given investment (up to the end of prior trading session recorded). Arguably, choosing ten years for a measurement period is on the one hand completely arbitrary, but on the other hand provides a sufficiently long window to capture long-term trends.

Thus, researching Average Annual Returns is good practice for investors — whether ACHV average annual return 10 years or other benchmarks/peers — and when doing so it is also important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annualized return is more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon. Our website aims to empower investors by performing the ACHV average annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
