Co.'s reportable segments are the Powder River Basin segment containing Co.'s primary thermal operations in Wyoming; the Metallurgical segment, containing Co.'s metallurgical operations in West Virginia; and the Other Thermal segment containing Co.'s supplementary thermal operations in Colorado. The ARCH stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the ARCH stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2020 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the ARCH annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
