Virtus Convertible & Income 2024 Target Term is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objectives are to provide a high level of income and to return at least $9.835 per common share (the original net asset value per common share of beneficial interest before deducting offering costs of $0.02 per share) to holders of common shares on or about Sept. 1, 2024. The Fund attempts to achieve its investment objectives by investing in a portfolio of high yield securities, convertible securities and other debt instruments, including senior secured loans, primarily of United States issuers. The CBH average annual return since 2017 is shown above.
The Average Annual Return on the CBH average annual return since 2017 page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annualized return over the past ten years (or specified start date) for a given investment
(up to the end of prior trading session recorded). Arguably, choosing ten years for a measurement
period is on the one hand completely arbitrary, but on the other hand provides a sufficiently long window
to capture long-term trends.
Thus, researching Average Annual Returns is good practice for investors — whether CBH average annual return since 2017 or other benchmarks/peers
— and when doing so it is also important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annualized return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon. Our website aims to empower investors
by performing the CBH average annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
