Equitrans Midstream is a natural gas gatherer in the U.S. and holds a transmission footprint in the Appalachian Basin. Co. provides midstream services to its customers in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio through its three primary assets: the gathering system, which includes predominantly dry gas gathering systems of gathering lines; the transmission system, which includes U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission-regulated interstate pipelines and storage systems; and the water network, which primarily consists of water pipelines and other facilities that support well completion and produced water handling activities. The ETRN average annual return since 2018 is shown above.
The Average Annual Return on the ETRN average annual return since 2018 page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annualized return over the past ten years (or specified start date) for a given investment
(up to the end of prior trading session recorded). Arguably, choosing ten years for a measurement
period is on the one hand completely arbitrary, but on the other hand provides a sufficiently long window
to capture long-term trends.
Thus, researching Average Annual Returns is good practice for investors — whether ETRN average annual return since 2018 or other benchmarks/peers
— and when doing so it is also important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annualized return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon. Our website aims to empower investors
by performing the ETRN average annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
