Four Corners Property Trust is a real estate investment trust (REIT) which owns, acquires and leases properties for use in the restaurant and retail industries. Substantially all of Co.'s business is conducted through its subsidiary, Four Corners Operating Partnership, LP, of which it is a majority limited partner and its wholly owned subsidiary, Four Corners GP, LLC, is its sole general partner. Co. operates in two segments: real estate operations, which includes leasing restaurant and retail properties to tenants through net lease arrangements; and restaurant operations, which is conducted through a taxable REIT subsidiary and consists of its Kerrow Restaurant Operating Business. The FCPT average annual return since 2015 is shown above.
The Average Annual Return on the FCPT average annual return since 2015 page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annualized return over the past ten years (or specified start date) for a given investment
(up to the end of prior trading session recorded). Arguably, choosing ten years for a measurement
period is on the one hand completely arbitrary, but on the other hand provides a sufficiently long window
to capture long-term trends.
Thus, researching Average Annual Returns is good practice for investors — whether FCPT average annual return since 2015 or other benchmarks/peers
— and when doing so it is also important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annualized return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon. Our website aims to empower investors
by performing the FCPT average annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
