MicroVision is developing a lidar sensor to be used in automotive safety and autonomous driving applications. Co.'s lidar sensor uses its laser beam scanning (LBS) technology. Co.'s LBS technology is based on its patented expertise in systems that include micro-electrical mechanical systems, laser diodes, opto-mechanics, electronics, algorithms and software and how those elements are packaged into a small form factor. Co.'s lidar sensor also utilizes computing and machine capabilities as part of the solution. Co. has developed solutions for Augmented Reality, Interactive Displays, and Consumer Lidars. The MVIS stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the MVIS stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2018 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the MVIS annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
