Casey's General Stores and its wholly owned subsidiaries operate convenience stores under the names Casey's and Casey's General Store in Midwestern states, primarily in Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois. Each Casey's Store carries food and nonfood items. Most of Co.'s food products are nationally advertised brands, and it also has an assortment of Casey's proprietary branded products. Co.'s nonfood items include tobacco and nicotine products, health and beauty aids, school supplies, housewares, pet supplies, and automotive products. Several of Casey's Stores provide retail motor fuel products for sale on a self-service basis. Gasoline and diesel fuel are sold under the Casey's name. The CASY stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the CASY stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2015 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the CASY annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
