Sprott Physical Gold and Silver Trust is a closed-end mutual fund trust. The Trust's investment objective is to provide a secure, convenient and exchange-traded investment alternative for investors interested in holding physical gold bullion and silver bullion without the inconvenience that is typical of a direct investment in physical gold bullion and silver bullion. The Trust invests primarily in long-term holdings of unencumbered, fully allocated, physical gold bullion and silver bullion and will not speculate with regard to short-term changes in gold and silver prices. The CEF stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the CEF stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2021 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the CEF annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
