CF Industries Holdings is a global manufacturer of hydrogen and nitrogen products for clean energy, fertilizer, emissions abatement, and other industrial applications. Co.'s product is anhydrous ammonia (ammonia). Co.'s nitrogen products that are upgraded from ammonia are granular urea, urea ammonium nitrate solution and ammonium nitrate. Co.'s other nitrogen products include diesel exhaust fluid, urea liquor, nitric acid and aqua ammonia, which are sold primarily to its industrial customers, and compound fertilizer products, which are solid granular fertilizer products for which the nutrient content is a combination of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The CF stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the CF stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2015 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the CF annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
