Clean Energy Fuels is a provider of the fuel for the transportation market, based on the number of stations operated and the amount of gasoline gallon equivalents of renewable natural gas (RNG), compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) delivered. Co.'s principal business is supplying RNG, CNG and LNG for medium and heavy-duty vehicles and providing operation and maintenance services for public and private vehicle fleet customer stations. As a solution provider, Co. also designs, builds, operates and maintains fueling stations; sells and services natural gas fueling compressors and other equipment used in CNG stations and LNG stations; and procures and sells RNG. The CLNE stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the CLNE stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2019 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the CLNE annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
