America's Car-Mart is an automotive retailer focused on the Integrated Auto Sales and Finance segment of the used car market. Co.'s operations are principally conducted through its two operating subsidiaries, America's Car Mart, Inc., and Colonial Auto Finance, Inc. Co. primarily sells older model used vehicles and provides financing for substantially all of its customers. Most of Co.'s customers have limited financial resources and would not qualify for conventional financing as a result of limited credit histories or past credit problems. Co. purchases vehicles primarily from wholesalers, new car dealers, individuals and auctions. Co. sells trucks and sport utility vehicles. The CRMT stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the CRMT stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2021 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the CRMT annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
