Culp manufactures, sources, and markets mattress fabrics and sewn covers used covering mattresses and foundations and other bedding products; and upholstery fabrics, including cut and sewn kits, primarily used in the production of upholstered furniture. Co. has two operating segments: mattress fabrics, which markets primarily knitted and woven fabrics, as well as sewn covers made from those fabrics, which are used in the production of bedding products; and upholstery fabrics, which markets a variety of fabric products that are used principally in the production of residential and commercial upholstered furniture, including sofas, chairs, loveseats, sectionals, sofa-beds, and office seating. The CULP stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the CULP stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2018 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the CULP annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
