iShares J.P. Morgan USD Emerging Markets Bond is an open-ended management company. The Index is a diverse United States dollar-denominated emerging markets debt benchmark, which tracks the total return of actively traded external debt instruments in emerging market countries. As of Oct 31 2015, the Fund's total assets were $4,546,282,323 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $4,403,864,784. The EMB stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the EMB stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2016 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the EMB annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
