First Trust FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Developed Markets Real Estate Index Fund is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield of an equity index called the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Real Estate Index (the Index). The Index is designed to measure the stock performance of companies engaged in specific real estate activities of the North American, European and Asian real estate markets. Relevant real estate activities are defined as the ownership, trading and development of income-producing real estate. As of Sept 30 2009, the Fund's total assets were $15,343,736 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $15,258,369. The FFR stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the FFR stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2012 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the FFR annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
