First Trust Chindia ETF is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield of an equity index called the ISE ChIndia Index (the Index). The Index is a non-market capitalization weighted portfolio of 50 American depositary receipts (ADRs), American depositary shares (ADS) and/or stocks selected from a universe of all listed ADRs, ADSs, and/or stocks of companies from China and India trading on a United States exchange. As of Dec 31 2009, the Fund's total assets were $120,495,859 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $120,140,197. The FNI stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the FNI stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2013 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the FNI annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
