iShares U.S. Treasury Bond is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Barclays U.S. Treasury Bond Index (the Index). The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index. As of Oct 31 2015, the Fund's total assets were $2,081,311,456 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $2,053,459,841. The GOVT stock yearly return is shown above.

The yearly return on the GOVT stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site, is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2014 for the given stock. When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.

One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors by performing the GOVT annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
