The iShares Currency Hedged MSCI EAFE Small-Cap ETF (the “Fund”) is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of small capitalization developed market equities, excluding the U.S. and Canada, while mitigating exposure to fluctuations between the value of the component currencies and the U.S. dollar, as represented by the MSCI EAFE Small-Cap 100% Hedged to USD Index (the “Index”). As of Jul 31 2015, the Fund's total assets were $2,582,794 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $2,525,391. The HSCZ average annual return since 2015 is shown above.
The Average Annual Return on the HSCZ average annual return since 2015 page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annualized return over the past ten years (or specified start date) for a given investment
(up to the end of prior trading session recorded). Arguably, choosing ten years for a measurement
period is on the one hand completely arbitrary, but on the other hand provides a sufficiently long window
to capture long-term trends.
Thus, researching Average Annual Returns is good practice for investors — whether HSCZ average annual return since 2015 or other benchmarks/peers
— and when doing so it is also important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annualized return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon. Our website aims to empower investors
by performing the HSCZ average annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
