iShares Trust Russell Midcap Index Fund is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Russell Midcap Index (the Index). The Index measures the performance of the mid-capitalization sector of the United States equity market. The Index is a float-adjusted, capitalization-weighted index of the 800 smallest issuers in the Russell 1000 Index. As of Mar 31 2015, the Fund's total assets and investment portfolio totaled $13,418,688,600 and $13,377,884,081, respectively. The IWR stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the IWR stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2017 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the IWR annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
