iShares U.S. Consumer Services is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Dow Jones U.S. Consumer Services Index (the Index). The Index measures the performance of the consumer services sector of the U.S. equity market, and includes companies in industry groups, such as food and drug retailers, general retailers, media, and travel and leisure. As of Apr 30 2015, the Fund's total assets and investment portfolio totaled $1,082,334,752 and $1,081,873,127, respectively. The IYC stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the IYC stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2017 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the IYC annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
