Nuveen California Municipal Value Fund 2 is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to provide current income exempt from both regular federal and California state income taxes by investing primarily in a portfolio of municipal obligations issued by state and local government authorities within the state of California or certain United States territories. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of the sum of its net assets and the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes in municipal bonds that pay interest that is exempt from regular federal personal income tax and California's personal income tax. The NCB average annual return 10 years is shown above.
The Average Annual Return on the NCB average annual return 10 years page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annualized return over the past ten years (or specified start date) for a given investment
(up to the end of prior trading session recorded). Arguably, choosing ten years for a measurement
period is on the one hand completely arbitrary, but on the other hand provides a sufficiently long window
to capture long-term trends.
Thus, researching Average Annual Returns is good practice for investors — whether NCB average annual return 10 years or other benchmarks/peers
— and when doing so it is also important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annualized return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon. Our website aims to empower investors
by performing the NCB average annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
