Co. refers to these RMBS as Agency RMBS. Co.'s portfolio consists of two categories of Agency RMBS: pass-through Agency RMBS; and structured Agency RMBS, such as interest only securities, inverse interest only securities and principal only securities, among other types of structured Agency RMBS. The ORC stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the ORC stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2020 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the ORC annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
