The Trading segment reflects the log trading activities in New Zealand and Australia conducted by its New Zealand subsidiary. The RYN stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the RYN stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2017 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the RYN annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
