Market Vectors India Small-Cap Index ETF is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Market Vectors India Small-Cap Index (the Index). The Index provides exposure to publicly traded companies that are headquartered in India or that generate the majority of their revenues in India. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing substantially all of its assets in the Subsidiary, a wholly owned subsidiary located in the Republic of Mauritius. As of Dec 31 2013, the Fund's total assets were $184,267,241 and its investment portfolio was valued at $122,188,303. The SCIF average annual return 10 years is shown above.
The Average Annual Return on the SCIF average annual return 10 years page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annualized return over the past ten years (or specified start date) for a given investment
(up to the end of prior trading session recorded). Arguably, choosing ten years for a measurement
period is on the one hand completely arbitrary, but on the other hand provides a sufficiently long window
to capture long-term trends.
Thus, researching Average Annual Returns is good practice for investors — whether SCIF average annual return 10 years or other benchmarks/peers
— and when doing so it is also important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annualized return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon. Our website aims to empower investors
by performing the SCIF average annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
