Snap is a camera company. Co.'s product, Snapchat, is a camera application that helps people communicate visually with friends and family through short videos and images called Snaps. Snapchat contains five tabs: Camera, which creates a Snap and sends it to friends; Communication, which allows users to send Snaps to friends through its messaging architecture; Snap Map, which is a live and personalized map that allows Snapchatters to connect with friends and explore what is going on in their local area; Stories, which features content from a Snapchatter's friends, Co.'s community, and its content partners; and Spotlight, which shares user-generated content with the entire Snapchat community. The SNAP stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the SNAP stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2021 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the SNAP annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
