SPDR Dow Jones Total Market is an open-end investment management company. The Fund seeks to provide investment results, that correspond to the total return performance of an index. In seeking to track the performance of the Dow Jones U.S. Total Stock Market Index (the Index), the Fund employs a sampling strategy. The Index is a float-adjusted market capitalization weighted index, which reflects shares of securities actually available to investors in the marketplace. As of June 30 2015, the Fund's total assets and investment porfolio totaled $264,716,730 and $260,036,859, respectively. The SPTM stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the SPTM stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2022 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the SPTM annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
