ProShares UltraPro Short S&P500 is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to three times the inverse (-3x) of the daily performance of the S&P 500 Index (the Index). The Index is a measure of large-cap U.S. stock market performance. It is a float-adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index of 500 U.S. operating companies and real estate investment trusts selected through a process that factors criteria such as liquidity, price, market capitalization and financial viability. As of May 31 2013, the Fund's total assets and investment portfolio totaled $682,691,231 and $678,185,738, respectively. The SPXU stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the SPXU stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2019 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the SPXU annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
