iShares 0-5 Year TIPS Bond is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Barclays U.S. Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) 0-5 Years Index (Series-L) (the Index). The Index measures the performance of the inflation-protected public obligations of the U.S. Treasury that have a remaining maturity of less than five years. As of Oct 31 2015, the Fund's total assets were $580,555,990 and the Fund's investment portfolio was valued at $579,281,733. The STIP stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the STIP stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2015 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the STIP annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
