Territorial Bancorp is a savings and loan holding company. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Territorial Savings Bank, Co. provides financial services to individuals, families and businesses through its banking offices located throughout the State of Hawaii. Territorial Savings Bank's business consists primarily of accepting deposits from the general public and investing those deposits, together with funds generated from operations and borrowings, in one- to four-family residential mortgage loans and investment securities. Co. also provides various non-deposit investments to its customers, including annuities and mutual funds, through a third-party broker-dealer. The TBNK stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the TBNK stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2016 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the TBNK annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
