Under day rate contracts, Co. provides an integrated service that includes the provision of a drilling rig and rig crews for which it receives a daily rate that may vary between the full rate and zero rate throughout the duration of the contractual term, depending on the operations of the rig. The VAL stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the VAL stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2021 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the VAL annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
