Vanguard Short-Term Corporate Bond (the Fund) is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to track the performance of a market-weighted corporate bond index with a short-term dollar-weighted average maturity. The fund is designed to track the performance of the Barclays Capital U.S. 1-5 Year Corporate Bond Index. It invests by sampling the index. All of the fund's investments will be selected through the sampling process, and at least 80% of the fund's assets will be invested in bonds included in the index. As of Aug 31 2013, the Fund's investments portfolio was valued at $7,004,530,000. The VCSH stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the VCSH stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2021 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the VCSH annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
