Invesco California Value Municipal Income Trust is a closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to seek to provide common shareholders with a level of current income exempt from federal and California income taxes, consistent with preservation of capital. The Trust will invest substantially all of its assets in California municipal securities rated investment grade at the time of investment. Municipal securities include municipal bonds, municipal notes, municipal commercial paper and lease obligations. The Trust may also invest up to 20% of its net assets in non-investment grade and unrated municipal securities at the time of purchase. The VCV stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the VCV stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2017 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the VCV annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
