Vanguard Russell 2000 Index Fund is an open-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to track the performance of a benchmark index that measures the investment return of small-capitalization stocks in the U.S. The fund is designed to track the performance of the Russell 2000A® Index. The index is designed to measure the performance of small-capitalization stocks in the United States. It attempts to replicate the target index by investing all, or substantially all, of its assets in the stocks that make up the index, holding each stock in approximately the same proportion as its weighting in the index. As of Aug 31 2013, the Fund's investments portfolio was valued at $538,013,000. The VTWO stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the VTWO stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2018 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the VTWO annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
