IQ Real Return is a non-diversified, open-end, management investment company. The Funds seeks investment results that correspond (before fees and expenses) generally to the price and yield performance of the IQ Real Return Index, which seeks to provide investors with a hedge against the U.S. inflation rate by providing a "real return" or a return above the rate of inflation, as represented by the Consumer Price Index, a government measure of inflation in the U.S. economy. As of Apr 30 2015, the Fund's total assets and investment portfolio totaled $32,347,632 and $32,345,061, respectively. The CPI stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the CPI stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2015 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the CPI annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
