Nexa Resources is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is engaged as an integrated zinc producer. Co. has two reportable segments: mining and smelting. The mining segment includes polymetallic mines located in the Central Andes of Peru and in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. In addition to zinc, Co. produces substantial amounts of copper, lead, silver and gold as by-products. The smelting segment includes operating units located in Cajamarquilla in Peru and in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The facilities recover and produce metallic zinc (zinc and zinc alloys), zinc oxide and by-products, such as sulfuric acid. The NEXA average annual return since 2017 is shown above.
The Average Annual Return on the NEXA average annual return since 2017 page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annualized return over the past ten years (or specified start date) for a given investment
(up to the end of prior trading session recorded). Arguably, choosing ten years for a measurement
period is on the one hand completely arbitrary, but on the other hand provides a sufficiently long window
to capture long-term trends.
Thus, researching Average Annual Returns is good practice for investors — whether NEXA average annual return since 2017 or other benchmarks/peers
— and when doing so it is also important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annualized return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon. Our website aims to empower investors
by performing the NEXA average annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
