Nexa Resources is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is engaged as an integrated zinc producer. Co. has two reportable segments: mining and smelting. The mining segment includes polymetallic mines located in the Central Andes of Peru and in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. In addition to zinc, Co. produces substantial amounts of copper, lead, silver and gold as by-products. The smelting segment includes operating units located in Cajamarquilla in Peru and in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The facilities recover and produce metallic zinc (zinc and zinc alloys), zinc oxide and by-products, such as sulfuric acid. The NEXA stock yearly return is shown above.
The yearly return on the NEXA stock yearly return page and across the coverage universe of our site,
is a measure of the annual return over the calendar year 2020 for the given stock.
When performing this calculation it is important to factor in dividends, because a financial instrument's annual return is
more than just the change in price if that instrument pays a dividend or coupon.
One way to factor dividends into the return is simply to count them as cash — we don't do
that here. Instead, our website aims to empower investors
by performing the NEXA annual return calculation with any dividends reinvested as applicable (on ex-dates).
